Success like winning has rules. If you can follow the rules, you can succeed like all others. That has nothing to do with your race, creed or color. It is the rules that count and nothing else even if you are an ordinary everyday folk. Once you follow the rules, you too can succeed. As David Joseph Schwartz rightly points out, "The person determined to achieve maximum success learns the principle that progress is made one step at a time. A house is built a brick at a time. Football games are won a play at a time. A department store grows bigger one customer at a time. Every big accomplishment is a series of little accomplishments." With discipline and determination while following the rules, any folk can succeed too.

Vince Lombardi adds a very thrilling dimension to the argument when he says, “Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all time thing. You don’t win once in a while, you don’t do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” Those who succeed to win are people and by the way, so are you!

You Already Have What it takes to Succeed

Have you ever bothered to take a close at your neighbors? If you have, you will discover that they have exactly the same physical endowments like you have even though the shapes and sizes may differ but the numbers are exactly the same if none of your has any disability. If therefore, your neighbor is busy getting things done and you are not, whose fault? Everything you need to succeed is already in you. The will and determination to engage your endowments for productive purposes is what makes the difference.

To achieve anything great or worthwhile, you must resolve, no matter what life hands you, to carry on. When life hands you a lemon, it is left to you to make lemonade out of it. It is not the cards you are dealt that win the game of cards. It is how you play your cards that determines who wins the game. Here is the good news! With all your physical endowments, you were created for greatness. Therefore, there is nothing that can stop you from achieving the greatness for which you were created. The key is to learn to use what you have to get what you want because everything you need to succeed, you already have.

Why Your Attitude and not Your Aptitude is Key

Yeah, no matter what you do in this life, it is your attitude which helps you to succeed the most. If you want to make money, it is your attitude which determines how much money you can make. It is not how much you know that counts, it is what you do with what you know that makes the difference. That is attitudinal.
When you see two people with similar endowments and same level of intelligence not getting similar results, it is attitude that makes the difference.

Attitude and Aptitude can however complement each other when properly balanced. So:

Attitude + Aptitude = Altitude

That is, what you do plus what you know determines how far you can go in any human endeavor. A great relationship if you ask me. It applies fully to how far you can succeed in life. Be it in, making money, succeeding in business, politics and sports or in any field of human endeavor.
