How to Motivate Lazy and Unmotivated Affiliates

A team of affiliate marketers in work station with computers, mobile phones, notepads and sundry work tools.
I hardly know how to set apart lazy and unmotivated affiliates. I believe we all are to some degree. However, if you have affiliates you sincerely believe are lazy and unmotivated; I suggest you do the following:

1. Pay special attention to your communications with them.
2. Explore ways to “draw them out’ and get them to reveal to you why they are unmotivated.
3. Offer real incentives to them like TCredits and free slots in your co-operative.
4. Encourage them to freely communicate their problems to you.
5. Be sure they took the lessons at the LaunchPad.
6. Encourage them to join and be active at the forum.
7. Offer your hand of friendship to them.
8. Encourage them to read widely in SFI.
9. Implore them to take SFI tips and to use the free marketing tools provided.
10. Help them to promote their Gateways alongside yours.
11. Reassign some PSAs to them if you can afford to.
12. Encourage them to play the Trivia games and to join the fun in SFI.

I believe if you are able to do some or all the foregoing, some of your lazy affiliates may become active.

What Affiliates Struggle with Most in SFI

SFI marketing banner

From my experience in SFI, the one thing affiliates struggle with most, is DUPLICATION particularly about getting serious and active affiliates. Since it appears to be a business-wide problem, everyone is grappling with it the way they deem fit. On my part, I always insist on the following to my affiliates.

1. Be very familiar with SFI awesome sponsor tips and use them as recommended.
2. Do not fail to regularly communicate with your affiliates.
3. Encourage and motivate them to keep sponsoring even if they are not getting serious and active affiliates.
4. Promote your SFI Gateways widely and intensely to recruit new affiliates.
5. Never fail to welcome your new affiliates when they join your team.
6. Follow that up always with “welcome to my team” cards.
7. Share your progress in the business with your affiliates.
8. Appreciate the modest achievements they have in the business and reward them if you can afford to.
9. Remember and identify with their anniversaries and congratulate them.
10. Encourage them to ask you questions and help them with good answers and references.
11. Take your affiliates as business partners and relate with them as such.
12. Encourage them to read widely in SFI and to imbibe all the business lessons.
13. Encourage them to join the various forums and to participate actively.
14. Advise them to have fun with the Trivia Games and the Auctions.

The foregoing are the things I do and recommend to my affiliates which I believe if done properly can help to alleviate the duplication problems we all face.

You Must Allow Fear to Motivate You

“The fear of failure is often worse than failure itself.” -- Shiv Khera

Historians have copiously documented that the United States of America went into World War II because the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This is the truth but not the whole truth. The whole truth is that the U.S. had a rabid fear of the Germans dominating the world and denying them their much cherished freedom and liberty. Remember that the U.S. was founded, built and currently thrives on the ideals of freedom and liberty. Adolph Hitler and his Nazi Germany were a threat to these ideals. Hitler himself did not cease to tout the superiority of his Aryan race and his ambition to conquer the whole world. This unbridled ambition would have brought him into inevitable conflict with the U.S. whether the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor or not. This is the whole truth. The fear of being conquered and denied their much cherished freedom and liberty was the foremost motivator for the U.S. to get involved in World War II.
